JASA KPMG Fun Day

A JASA KPMG Fun Day to help raise funds for Swim Easy's disabled swimmers was held on Saturday 11th July at Havre des Pas pool.  Even though the day was cold and wet, the weather could not dampen the enthusiasm of Swim Easy. 

Jersey Water Polo Association came out in force and kicked off the event with a demonstration of their skills which was to be followed by fun relays with KPMG and the Island Games Swim Team.  However, as people turned blue and Swim Easy, once in the water were not to be stopped, it was decided to have a few short races which was then followed by a water polo game between Swim Easy and Island Games refereed by Nick Dotter.  This was followed by a very succesful BBQ with everyone sheltering in the cafe.  Larry Catterson , Chairman of KPMG, was there to support together with KPMG staff and the event was an ideal opportunity for everyone to meet and mingle.

Thanks to JWPA and the Island Games Swim Team for turning up on not the best of days and to Swim Easy, an example to us all for their 'just get on with it attitude'. 

Many thanks to KPMG for their help and continued support.  All funds raised will help towards costs for Swim Easy's travel to compete in Guernsey.
