Jersey Amateur Swimming Association

Jeux des Iles Azores 2010

The Jeux des Iles Swim Team returned with 5 Gold, 4 Silver and 4 Bronze medals making them the most successful Jersey swim team to compete at the COJI games. They also received a trophy for 3rd place with 197 points, only 14 points behind 1st placed Sardinia and 7 points behind 2nd placed Sicily. They came 5th overall out of 11 teams which was a good result considering there were no boys.  Emily Bashforth gained new COJI records in the 200 free in a time of 2.08.82 and in the 400 free in 4.26.52 and  a new Junior Island Record in the 400 free..

Well done to all of the girls making it a real team effort and also to Keiron Bowbrick and Jackie Huelin for looking after the team.
